Freedom Hall Civic Center turned up the volume and the vibes as students gathered for SGA’s Spring 2025 Concert on Thursday, April 24.
Quavo, one-third of the rap trio Migos, joined Kaliii and Josh Levi in electrifying the Freedom Hall stage Thursday night. The doors opened at 6 p.m., and the show started at 7 p.m., opening up with Josh Levi. Students and community members filled Freedom Hall with excitement.
Josh Levi is an R&B artist and actor. The singer wasted no time making his presence known as he opened the show with songs from his 2022 album “DISC TWO.” Levi sang songs from his three albums, “DISC ONE,” “DISC TWO,” and his deluxe “DISC TWO (SCRATCHED UP).”
Kaliii took the stage next. Kaliii is a female rapper who rose in popularity in 2020 and 2021. She opened her set with her popular 2021 single “MMM MMM,” and her fierce stage performance quickly took over Freedom Hall. She played songs from her albums and ended with one of her most well-known singles, “Area Codes,” released in 2023.
Quavo’s energy filled the room as he opened with “Turn Yo Clic Up,” which features Future and is on Quavo’s 2023 album “Rocket Power.” He also sang featured songs such as “Pick Up the Phone” by Young Thug and Travis Scott and “Congratulations” by Post Malone. Migos fans cheered as he played “Fight Night” from their 2014 album titled “No Label II.” He also played “Walk It Talk It,” “Stir Fry” and more from their 2018 album “Culture II.” The concert ended with “T-Shirt” and “Bad and Boujee” from Migos’ 2017 album “Culture.”
SGA concerts give students not only a way to see their favorite artists but also a way to have fun and come together as a student body. As the spring semester wraps up, SGA gives thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the concert.
