The ETSU Martin Center for the Arts is bringing Broadway’s finest to campus with SIX The Musical on May 26 through 28. This exhilarating show promises to deliver an unforgettable evening of music, history, and high-energy performances as the six wives of Henry VIII take the stage to tell their stories like never before.

Known for its captivating blend of pop, rock and contemporary musical theater, SIX has taken audiences around the globe by storm, enthralling audiences with its bold storytelling and infectious energy. The musical initially gained traction in 2017, as its acclaim quickly rose on both the West End in London and Broadway, thanks to its unique reimagining of history and its unapologetically empowering approach to storytelling.

Since its creation, this musical has gone on to win multiple awards, including numerous Tony Awards such as “Best Original Score,” and five Olivier Awards nominations. A highlight of the show is its dynamic staging, which fully immerses the audience in a sensory experience featuring vibrant lighting and choreography that maintains high energy from the opening number to the final curtain call.

While this show will conclude the 2026 Broadway season for the Martin Center, ensuring that this year’s lineup ends on a high note, this performance marks the first time SIX The Musical has graced the Grand Hall stage. For ETSU students as well as the wider Tri-Cities community, this is an unprecedented opportunity to experience the excitement of this Broadway juggernaut without ever needing to leave campus.

From the moment the performers take the stage, attendees can expect dazzling costumes, vivid lighting, and an enchanting score that keeps every audience member engaged from start to finish. What truly sets SIX apart is its ability to combine historical storytelling with a modern pop culture twist, creating a concert-style experience that can resonate with audiences of all ages.

With its mix of historical storytelling, empowering messages, and high-energy anthems, SIX The Musical is set to be a landmark moment for ETSU audiences, making this year’s Broadway season finale truly unforgettable.
