Northern Kentucky wasn’t able to get a point on the board until five minutes into the game, when ETSU was already nine points ahead. The first half of the game continued to push forward, with ETSU staying the lead the entire time. The final score by the end of the first half was 32-33, in favor of ETSU.
The second half of the game began with Cam Morris III from ETSU scoring a two-pointer only 38 seconds in. The match continued similarly to the first half, with ETSU continuing to score points while holding Northern Kentucky back. The game ended with a final score of 63-75. The Buccaneers won without ever letting the Northern Kentucky Norse gain the lead.

They will play against Morehead State on the 21 and UL-Monroe on the 23. While ETSU has played against Morehead State 11 times since 2000, the Buccaneers have not played against UL-Monroe since 1999, making them feel like a brand new opponent.
