This winter, Buctainment is hosting a Winter Warm-Up event meant to bring students together as the semester comes to an end. The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cave Pavilion, located in front of the D.P. Culp Student Center, near the slide. It’s designed to be a fun, cozy evening where students, friends and families can relax, enjoy winter-themed activities and get into the holiday spirit.

One of the main features of the event is the free hot cocoa bar, where guests can enjoy with their favorite toppings. There will also be an ugly sweater contest, giving everyone the chance to show off their favorite or most outrageous winter sweater. The winner will receive a special “Brr Basket.” A photo booth will also be provided so guests can take fun pictures with friends.

Buctainment is a big part of what makes student life engaging at East Tennessee State University. As the student activities programming board on campus, Buctainment focuses on delivering welcoming, memorable events for everyone at ETSU. The goal is to bring students together and make campus feel like a community through various programs that are not only engaging but also educational.

Students who join Buctainment have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and work behind the scenes on activities that impact campus life. The wide range of activities planned throughout the semester allows participants to build connections and friendships while exploring various career options in low-pressure settings. Some past activities this semester have included Masterpiece Painting classes, movie nights and a special Trunk or Treasure competition.

Buctainment hopes this event gives everyone a chance to relax, have fun and connect with others before finals begin. It’s a simple, cheerful way to bring the ETSU community together and celebrate the winter season.
