Dear Editor,
Graduates will soon be facing the job market.
As in the great depression, millions of workers lost their jobs around the nation. Today this remains true once again, as workers have lost their jobs and many industries have disappeared.
Decades ago, manufacturing used to be the leading industry in America. But now it is the hardest-hit job on the market, along with teaching and retail industries. But those in the health care field are still expected to grow rapidly.
Labor markets are beginning to rise slowly. Graduates should not become discouraged about graduating. Instead they should send out their resumes and take a short vacation or break from stress. The economy is hoped to be back on its feet by May 2004.
