Dear Editor,
What is “up” with the rise in tuition?! This is not good.
In our day in age, it is very important in a person’s life to have a college degree in order to succeed.
With the constant increase in tuition, the amount of young adults who are able to attend school will decrease drastically.
This is comparable to when the United States granted freed slaves the right to vote with the 15th amendment but, just a few short years later, declared that only literate men could vote.
This amendment drastically cut down the amount of voters on hand for election time.
The rise in tuition will keep financially unfortunate people who cannot qualify for any financial aid for one reason or another out of school.
It could keep them from being successful in their lives just as the freed slaves couldn’t be a successful voice in late 19th century elections.
