The Women’s Soccer Team returned home this weekend from a five-game road trip for a conference game against Western Carolina Catamounts. The Catamounts came in with a new goalkeeper and a strong offense.
Both teams went in to Sunday’s game looking to pick up their first win in conference play. Western Carolina opened up the scoring in the first half with a goal in the 24th minute with an assist by Megan Chambers to Natalie Turgeon.
The Lady Bucs were held scoreless through the rest of the first half. The Bucs only had two shots on goal through out the first half ending in a 1-1 tie.
The Bucs were able to score. Alexandra Schwark sent a cross-field pass to Freshman Aubree Snyder who headed the ball into the goal.
