Dear Editor,
I read the story on the death of ETSU student Robbie Nottingham. This has certainly been a sad chapter in the history of the university as well as for the family and friends left behind.
Amber Schlobom’s article gave a good follow-up on this story. I read her statement concerning the presence of THC in the post-mortem report and her apparent disbelief that he could have been significantly effected by the use of Cannabis.
I am not convinced that his use of Cannabis did not play at least some role in his death.
Schlobohm cites a driving study that “proves” Cannabis does not effect motor skills and judgment. That’s all well and good, but the study says nothing about tolerance levels and the population used in this study.
Unfortunatly, this case may never be resolved and all questions answered. Wouldn’t it be nice if this were like an episode of CSI and all questions could be answered in an hour.
