Dear Editor,
This is my fourth year on the ETSU campus and my fourth year of looking at our Culp Center games room in dismay.
I think the games room has a lot of potential. I realize that arcade machines are expensive, but I think the students here would be very enthusiastic about being able to use these machines.
I am certain that the revenue generated from these machines, however, would be enough to maintain them. I think it would be a very fun thing to do while waiting to go to your next class and such.
I for one am a pinball fanatic. However, the machine currently in the game room is useless to play. It is in constant disrepair and is a few balls short of a multiball.
The video games that are there are OK, but it would be nice to have games that are more current.
I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that I would enjoy being able to play on a used Dance Dance Revolution machine, or its alternative Pump It Up.
These dance machines are still quite popular, it is fun to compete against your peers, and an alternative form of exercise.
