With a late start for spring semester in January, there’s really not all that much that can be done. But if you are looking for some fun in the final week of the month, here are some activities that can help relax those nerves.

Jan. 24 – The men’s basketball team will play at home against The Citadel.
A weekly meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous will be held in Meeting Room 4A of the Culp Center at noon.

Jan. 25 – Two team captains meetings for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will be held in Meeting Room 1 of the Culp Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Call 926-2921 or go to the Relay for Life web site at www.acsevents.org/relay/tn/etsu.
Over at the Culp Center in the East Tennessee Room, there will be a lunch seminar at noon titled “Investing by the Book: A Winning Strategy for Women.”
American Marketing Association at ETSU will hold a meeting at 3:30 p.m. in Room 334 of Sam Wilson Hall.

Jan. 26 – In the Culp Center Auditorium, magician Brian Brushwood will be performing.
Jan. 27 – Grand opening celebration/ribbon cutting for Center for Community Engagement, Learning & Leadership from 2-4 p.m. on the first floor of the Culp Center.
Jan. 28 – Theater Releases
* Alone in the Dark starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid and Stephen Dorff * Hide and Seek starring Robert De Niro, Dakota Fanning, Famke Janssen and Elisabeth Shue

Jan. 29 – At home, the men’s basketball team plays Appalachian State.

And finally Jan. 31 – After two road games, the women’s basketball team plays against College of Charleston.
