On behalf of the Atlantic Sun Conference, we wish to thank the entire ETSU community for the great job you did as hosts of the 2006 General Shale Brick A-Sun Men’s Basketball Championship. The tournament is our premier event of the year and we sincerely appreciate all the work that so many on the ETSU campus put in to making it a success.
The East Tennessee State and Johnson City setting drew tremendous exposure through hosting the championship – through newspaper, radio and extensive television coverage. You should all be proud that the picture conveyed to all the guests, both the in-person visitors and those following through the media, received a great impression of ETSU due to the fine job you did as our hosts.
ETSU has a storied and proud tradition in athletics and men’s basketball, and hosting the A-Sun Championship adds another layer to the history for your school. Knowing how much the community supports basketball and enjoys the excitement of tournament time, we very much anticipate our return for next year.
Thank you for your support of ETSU and A-Sun basketball.
