Dear Editor,
While Students for Academic Freedom is certainly guilty of overstating the ‘intellectual diversity’ problem (as well as promoting policies that would almost certainly result in a rather stale educational environment), I find it highly amusing that an article in the East Tennessean spent roughly three-fourths of its ink on quoting professors who denounced Horowitz and his organization, as well as printing a lengthy editorial criticizing Horowitz himself.
That is to say, the official organ of East Tennessee State University printed a rather biased article and a highly critical editorial about an organization that claims colleges and universities are guilty of promoting specific political and philosophical views.
Irony, it appears, is lost on editors of the East Tennessean.
