Dear Editor,
We are new members of the Johnson City community. One of the many reasons we decided to move here are the large variety of cultural outlets in the area. The other evening we attended the play “Three the Hard Way.”
The campus setting was terrific, the facility was very good, the play was very well written and produced and the actors did a fantastic job. That is the good news. The bad news is that there were several people there who had significant body odor.
We are not talking about dress, body art, etc. Those are personal freedom statements that should not affect anyone, as they do not infringe on their ability to enjoy a night at the theatre. Body odor does not fall into that category. It is difficult to understand how a person attending a play held in a school that they are able to attend would permit this affront to other theatergoers. Body odor is a statement, but not a socially acceptable one. You offenders please take a shower the next time.
