With live video web streaming of numerous events, a higher quality audio broadcast on the Internet, over 90 live radio broadcasts on affiliates across the Mountain Empire, a weekly coaches show airing locally and nationally, and a new restaurant host for the weekly Inside Buc Sports radio coaches show, the 2006-07 season will certainly be an exciting one on the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network.
“Every year it seems we keep growing and adding more features for the fans,” said network director and “Voice of the Bucs” Jay Sandos. “What we are striving for are professional broadcasts with a better audio product than ever before, along with new ways for ETSU fans around the world to keep up with the Bucs.”
With the network’s new live video web streaming, ETSU fans will be able to actually watch the Bucs play from anywhere in the world as long as they have a broadband web connection.
Fans simply need to go to ETSUBucs.com and order the subscription level they desire. Along with the video of the event, fans will be able to listen to Sandos’ radio call of the game as well by simply clicking on the live audio link located on the network page at ETSUBucs.com.
As for radio broadcasts this season, the network will once again air all men’s basketball games, as well as a select number of women’s basketball and baseball games.
Fans in the Mountain Empire will be able to listen to the Bucs on the network’s flagship station, WJCW-AM (910), or on any of our nine affiliated stations. A complete list of affiliate stations can be found below.
Along with live game coverage on the radio, fans are also encouraged to stop by or call in to the weekly “Inside Buc Sports” coaches show each week at Fanatics located in the Doubletree Hotel, across from The Mall at Johnson City. Sandos, along with selected ETSU coaches, will visit with fans every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m., taking phone calls as well as questions from fans inside the restaurant.
On the television side, the network will once again partner with Charter Media to bring fans the Inside Buc Sports television show every Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. on Charter Main Street 13 or Comcast Channel 14.
Fans not in the immediate Mountain Empire region can also see the show on Fridays at 2 p.m. on Fox College Sports Atlantic. In addition, Charter Main Street 13 will air a select number of home basketball games.
