AETSU will begin signing up all interested students, faculty and staff for the new Gold-Alert text messaging system being implemented for the university community.
To be used only in case of an emergency or for weather-related school closure announcements, the new GoldAlert system will not be used for other announcements.
Although there is no advertising associated with this service and no cost to sign up for the system, individual cellular providers may have a small charge for the text message.
In addition to registering cell phone numbers, students, faculty and staff may also subscribe an e-mail address.
To register phone numbers and e-mail addresses with GoldAlert on or after Nov. 12, go to https://etsuis.etsu.edu/GoldAlert.
