Dear Editor,
A letter writer (Bob Lewis, March 17) confuses environmentalists and politicians.?Politicians advocate ethanol made from corn, because corn growers donate money to their campaigns.
Environmentalists know that fuel made from brush grass is six times more cost effective than fuel made from corn. But environmentalists are not, usually, rich enough to buy politicians.?Let’s not blame environmentalists for the corruption of elected officials.
The real blame goes to the voters, and to the non-voters who allow corrupt people to hold high office.
