ETSU’s Department of Social Work, the Northeast Tennessee Branch of the National Association of Social Workers, and the Tennessee Health Care Campaign will sponsor “Healthcare Justice ’08: Educate, Motivate, Activate” on March 29.
This gathering opens for sign-in at 9:30 a.m., with the program from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at Good Samaritan Ministries, 100 N. Roan St. Lunch is provided for those who register before the day of the event. Topics to be addressed include an examination of the health care plans of presidential candidates, chances for national reform in 2009, Cover Tennessee and community-based services, and ways individuals can make a difference in health care availability.
Social workers can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attendance.
