The 33rd-ranked ETSU men’s tennis team blanked the North Florida Ospreys, 7-0 on Saturday March 29, at the UNF Tennis Complex.
The Bucs improve to 17-3 on the year and 7-0 in conference play while the Ospreys fall to 9-9, 3-5.
In doubles the Bucs claimed the 1-0 advantage as they swept all three matches.
ETSU then swept all six singles points for the 7-0 victory. In the No. 1 slot No. 67 Enrique Olivares defeated Eduardo Pereira, while Predrag Burmazovic (Belgrade, Serbia) dropped Javier Ferrin.
“It was a great performance for the Bucs,” said head coach Yaser Zaatini. “They played an unbelievable match. We’ve been playing under cooler conditions and we were able to prove that we could beat them under their conditions in Florida on their home court. We come back home to finish up the season and hopefully we can maintain.” ?
?The Bucs will be back in action on April 4, as they take on Campbell in Johnson City.
