In an era of smartphones and convenience, student voices have been heard. Tickets for ETSU’s football and basketball teams have been made available to obtain online or through the ETSU Game Time app.

Starting with the Oct. 1 game in Johnson City against Chattanooga, students can register their university email account to the new system. After registering his or her account, students can go directly through the ETSUBuc.com ticket page to procure tickets for upcoming games.

Michael White, associate athletic director for communications for ETSU Athletics, said this option is a wish come true for students.

“We have heard from our student body for sometime now that they would like an automated ticket system,” he said. “We’re completely internet-based, and have moved away from manual pickup. This makes the process much easier for students than before, where they’d have to go over to the Culp Center and wait in a line.”

On the website or through the app, students can look for both upcoming and future games. Student tickets will typically become available on Monday of the week prior to the event.

In addition, on Mondays at the beginning of game weeks, student guest tickets will go on sale at a discounted price, if seats remain; students are allowed up to four guest tickets.

Tickets are delivered via the student’s school email account in a PDF. At the gate, students and their guests are to present both the PDF ticket and their ID (student ID for ETSU students, an identification verification such as a driver’s license for guests).

Students will also be notified if and when seats for their desired event are sold out.

In an email blast sent out by White, students that may have trouble with the online system may still visit the Culp Center’s student help desk for assistance creating their online account and ordering their ticket.
