ETSU was recently featured as the college to go to in “The College Tour.” Its palpable energy, great shots of the ETSU campus, downtown Johnson City and the Appalachian region, as well as the student and alumni talks made me want to commit to a university I am already a part of.
We heard from radio, television and film students, art students, journalism students, athletes and alumni on the great qualities and amazing programs ETSU possesses. They talk about the great scenery, the opportunities for connection, internships and involvement in real-world experience as an undergrad–all things that would make anyone want to be a part of the ETSU family.
Kayla Carter talked about her experiences at ETSU and how she and her husband fell in love with the area and want to grow their lives here. Anthony Salas talked about his experiences at ETSU, traveling to major networks and how ETSU helped him to grow and learn valuable skills for his profession.
This publicity and positive overview are exactly what ETSU needs to show students living throughout Tennessee and all around the country. This is a beautiful area full of exciting things to do, places to go and things that only our campus provides. This is a great opportunity for those who live on a completely different side of the country or even outside of the country.
This episode was fun and telling of the campus, atmosphere and people. It makes ETSU look desirable and shows potential students the many amenities that we have. It is also shows potential professors all that our campus and community have to offer.
