ETSU-Con is set to return to campus April 2-3, 2022.
On Oct. 28, the Con-Chair Zack James took to social media to announce the return of the convention:
“There were a few different ways I thought of announcing this… Maybe we could have done a funny little video Perhaps a vague set of clues that revealed the news? At the end of the day, I just figured it was best to be plain and straight forward with all of you…. WE’RE BACK,” the Facebook post explained.
ETSU-Con will enter its seventh year this year, with a history of celebrating “all things anime, comics, games, cosplay and more,” according to their page description.
This announcement comes over three years after their initial hiatus due to the Culp Center renovations.
“Give us some time to get our bearings, we’ve had a long voyage in these stormy times,” The post said.
They plan to announce the convention lineup and post vendor and panel applications in the coming weeks.
