In promoting Megan Thee Stallion’s newest song “Sweetest Pie” featuring Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion tasted pies from around country. One of those pies included the peach pie from the Tri-Cities local restaurant, Cootie Brown’s.

“Okay, there we go,” she remarked. “That’s the one. ‘Cause I like cheesecake and it low-key tastes like cheesecake.”

Mason Spears, a part-time manager at Cootie Brown’s stated, “Our peach pie was chosen and ate during the video but, Goldbelly also ordered our raspberry pie, but it was not featured in the video except for being on screen for the intro. Goldbelly reached out to us, placed an order, and picked through our pies to see which ones they liked best.”

The video itself has garnered almost 100,000 views after being posted earlier this month. The video can be found on Megan’s YouTube channel, titled “Megan The Stallion – Sweetest Pie Tasting From Across The Country Goldbelly.”

“It’s crazy to think a homemade pie recipe from our small city was given to Megan Thee Stallion,” said Spears. “Along with her saying amazing words about the pie, the staff was very excited to feel what they’re doing is paying off.”

To review the pies yourself, you can visit one of the Cootie Brown’s locations in Johnson City or Bristol, including the location directly across the street from campus. For more information, visit https://www.cootiebrowns.com/.
