The end of the current school year may be over, but the Martin Center is still bringing entertainment throughout the summer.

There are currently numerous events scheduled in the summer with more to come, and Jennifer Clements, executive director of the Martin Center for the Arts, discussed what the Martin Center will present in the summer and fall.

“We will have more show announcements over the coming weeks,” Clements said.

Not only will there be great performers, but more exciting news is coming as the year goes by.

“We plan to announce our Spring 2023 Broadway Series early this fall,” Clements said.

Before a big annoucement in the fall, there is plenty to experience in the summer.

“We are excited to kick off the summer with some great performers,” Clements said.

The month of June will be a popular hit at the Martin Center with the following events:

Singer-songwriter based out of Texas, Robert Earl Keen, will be the first performer in the summer on June 7 at 7:30 p.m.

A family-friendly comedian, Brian Regan, will be at the Martin Center on June 9 at 7:30 p.m.

A tribute band for ABBA called “ABBA – The Concert: A Tribute to ABBA” performs on June 11 at 8 p.m.

Singer-songwriter based out of Georgia, Corey Smith, will perform June 24 at 8 p.m.

To start the new school year off with a bang this August, there will be entertainment for each month in August to October.

Brit Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band from England, will perform Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

The Black Jacket Symphony, a classic rock band, will perform Sep. 23 at 8:00 p.m.

“Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox,” a musical collective, will show on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
