Welcome to the column to go to when you’re a broke, tired college student in a dorm. Today, we’re going to be making a meat dish: blue cheese chicken thighs.

The ingredients are as follows:
Kroger Bone-In-Skin-On Chicken Thighs are $2.18 per pound with 8 thighs in a pack, while Perdue Chicken Thighs are $2.73 per pound, and come with 4 thighs in a pack. (I will be assuming you have four thighs for the purposes of this recipe.)
Private Selection Butter is $3.82 per package and .27 per serving
Private Selection Blue Cheese is $4.37 per package and .55 per serving
Kroger Pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil is $6.01 per bottle and .18 per serving
Private Selection Greek Inspired Seasoning is $3.60 per bottle
Kroger Brand Chives are also $3.60 per package
Smidge and Spoon Seasoned Salt is $1.37

The cost up front is roughly $25.50 and the cost per serving is .93. The instructions are as follows. Preheat your oven to 350 F and take out a baking pan. Cover with parchment paper or tin foil if possible. Mix on tablespoon of butter with 2.5 oz (half of the brand’s container) blue cheese. Stuff the mixture under the skin of the chicken thigh, and make sure the skin is put back. Then cover the thighs with one tablespoon of olive oil. Season generously with seasoned salt, greek seasoning, and chives, then bake for 45 minutes.
