On Sept. 10, the ETSU Marching Bucs shared a video to their Facebook page from Performing Arts Consultants President Michael Mazzarisi and Vice President Sherry Mazzarisi. The video was a surprise announcement stating that the ETSU Majorettes and Color Guard were going to perform as the opening act for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular in New York City.

This surprise comes six months after the announcement that the Marching Bucs would be performing in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The performance is the first in ETSU’s history. With the addition of the Radio City Music Hall performance, the ETSU Marching Bucs, Majorettes and Color Guard are making significant history for the upcoming year.

“We’re all looking forward to your arrival and hosting the best band in the parade,” said Sherry Mazzarisi.
