ETSU-Con, campus’ largest event celebrating all things pop culture, will return March 23-24, 2024. The convention will be held in the D.P. Culp Student Center.

ETSU-Con is a weekend event open to the public that includes panels, vendors, gaming tournaments, food trucks, cosplay contests and opportunities to meet well-known voice actors. The convention acts as a community space for celebrating different fandoms and immersing oneself into areas of interest within pop culture.

This is ETSU-Con’s ninth year on campus, after making its start back in 2013. This year’s convention will make history as all new staff are undertaking the planning process. The new staff will be working under the mentorship of Zack James, former con-chair, and Madison Warner, former con-manager.

“It has been amazing watching this new generation of students fully embrace their new staff roles over the past year. When Zack and I ran ETSU-Con, we always wanted to make sure that the students had an opportunity to grow the same way that this event grew us. We are so excited to see what this year brings for the community, and ETSU,” says Warner.

The previous lineup for ETSU-Con 2023 included headliners such as Grey DesLisle, Kira Buckland, Jolyne Kujo, and Alejandro Saab. These headliners are known in the voice acting world for contributing their talents to works such as Scooby Doo, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Genshin Impact. ETSU-Con 2023 also roped in over 4,000 attendees.

ETSU-Con tickets will be available soon and are free for ETSU students, as well as ETSU University High School students. Students can swipe their ID day-of for their free weekend pass to the convention.
