JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 14, 2023) – The Wofford Terriers drove north to William B. Greene Jr. stadium to take on the ETSU Bucs this past weekend. ETSU dominated both sides of the ball to beat the Terriers 41-10. The win also notched ETSU’s first SoCon win of the season.

Sheldon Arnold II (Loganville, Ga.) made an immediate impact for the Bucs. The junior DB collected eight tackles on the day and got the Bucs on the board first with a 39-yard pick-six. With this game, Arnold II now has three interceptions in his last three games.

Redshirt freshman QB William Riddle (Chattanooga, Tenn.) finished the day 8/12 for 149 yards and collected his first collegiate touchdown on an 8-yard completion to Will Huzzie.

Will Huzzie (Duluth, Ga.) was the leading receiver in today’s contest, bringing in 7 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. Huzzie rose to second place in the university’s All-Time Receptions category following this move, passing Cecil Moore, who had 161 receptions during his career (1999-02).

Huzzie, who now has 167 career receptions, only needs six more to take the university’s All-Time Receptions record from B.J. Adigun. Adigun played from 1994-97 and finished his career with 172 receptions for 2,802 yards.

Working alongside Huzzie was redshirt freshman Tommy Winton III (Knoxville, Tenn.), who continues to emerge as a reliable option for the Bucs’ air attack. Winton III finished his day with three receptions for 70 yards.

ETSU ranks in the top 3 in the SoCon rushing rankings, and this game only solidified that ranking.

Junior running back Bryson Irby (Douglasville, Ga.) finished his day with 137 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Also getting involved was Idaho transfer Zach Borisch (Kennewick, Wash.), who collected 64 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.

ETSU now goes on the road to take on the No. 20 Chattanooga in the Rail Rivalry.

With Tyler Riddell (Tampa, Fla.) sidelined due to a knee injury, William Riddle is expected to be the starting QB versus the Mocs.

Riddle came to ETSU from the McCallie School, where he led them to three state championships and was also a Tennessee Mr. Football Finalist.
