Women’s basketball fought against Lipscomb University in Brooks Gym on Thursday, Nov. 30.

The Lipscomb Bisons came out viciously and scored 17 points in the first quarter, while the Bucs earned 6 points.

During the second quarter, the Bucs fought back and went into halftime with 22 points, the Bisons with 37.

Recharged after halftime, the Bucs took control of the third quarter. They outscored the Bisons 19 – 11, earning a two-point difference in the final score at that time. In the last couple of minutes, Lipscomb scored seven points, making the game score 41 – 49.

Junior Kendall Folley (Lebanon, Ohio) earned the most points for the Buccaneers with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Freshman Brecken Snotherly (Franklinville, North Carolina) earned a new career-high, scoring eight points, while teammate senior Courtney Moore (Gainesville, Florida) also shot the same amount.

Lipscomb returned to dominate the fourth quarter with 20 points to ETSU’s 4 points.

Lipscomb is athletically aggressive on the court and has a strong offensive team with high stamina.

The final game score was 68-45, with the winners being the Lipscomb Bisons.

Women’s basketball will play again at home on Sunday, Dec. 10, in Freedom Hall against Lees-McRae. The game starts at 1:30 pm.
