The ETSU football team is set to have their annual spring matchup, White versus Blue, on Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m. inside William B. Greene Jr. Stadium.

This month’s inter-squad matchup will be new head coach Tre Lamb’s first opportunity to show off the program he has worked so hard to build this offseason.

The Bucs opened up this spring’s practices in late March with their first full-padded practice happening last Tuesday, April 2. Coach Lamb and his squad will have 14 practices leading up to this years Ballad Health spring game, with two additional scrimmages taking place before the game.

With Lamb’s new additions to the roster, fans can expect to see a lot of new faces on the field at this year’s spring game. Some key players to keep on an eye at next Saturday’s game are transfer quarterback Cole Doyle (Glendale, Calif.) and Derrell Bailey Jr. (Montgomery, Ala.). Doyle comes to Johnson City from St. Francis University where he led the Red Flash in passing yards during the 2023 season. Bailey Jr. arrives at ETSU from the University of South Florida where he played 10 games over the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

After a down season, posting a 3-8 record, Coach Lamb looks to get the Bucs back to the top of the Southern Conference and into the playoffs. Next Saturday’s game will be open to the public with the gates opening at 4 p.m. and a pregame concert to be held at 5.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. inside William B. Greene Jr. Stadium. For more information, visit etsubucs.com.
