The nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on Friday, November 7. Featuring 95 categories, the ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The Grammys are distinguished awards presented by the Recording Academy during the Annual Grammy Awards show to honor outstanding achievements in music. 

For the 2026 award show, the Grammys will feature two new categories, including Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. For the Best Traditional Country Album Award, the Grammy clarifies that only albums with at least 75% of the playing time of new traditional country recordings are eligible in the category. Nominated for Best Traditional Country Album are Charley Crockett’s Dollar a Day, Lukas Nelson’s American Romance, Willie Nelson’s Oh What A Beautiful World, Margo Price’s Hard Headed Woman and Zach Top’s Ain’t In It For My Health

Best Album Cover nominations include Shaun Llewellyn and Luis “Panch” Perez for CHROMAKOPIA by Tyler, the Creator, William Wesley II for The Crux by Djo (Joe Keery), Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio for Debí Tirar Más Fotos by Bad Bunny, Cody Critcheloe and Andrew J.S. for Glory by Perfume Genius, and the team behind Wet Leg’s moisturizer, Hester Chambers, Ellis Durand, Henry Holmes, Matt de Jong, Jamie-James Medina, Joshua Mobaraki and Rhian Teasdale. 

While Tyler, the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA and Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos are nominated for Best Album Cover, both are also in the running for the prestigious Album of the Year. 

Other contestants include Justin Bieber for SWAG, Sabrina Carpenter for Man’s Best Friend, Clipse, Pusha T and Malice for Let God Sort Em Out, Lady Gaga for MAYHEM, Kendrick Lamar for GNX and Leon Thomas for MUTT

Including Album of the Year, Kendrick Lamar leads with 9 nominations for the 2026 Grammys. He is considered for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “luther” with SZA. 

Lady Gaga follows right behind Lamar with 7 nominations, two of which are also Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Abracadabra.” Sabrina Carpenter is also nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her track “Manchild.”

The Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and streamed live on Paramount+.
