On Friday, March 27, the ETSU men’s tennis team played against the Wofford Terriers in their hometown of Johnson City, Tennessee. With a 14-game winning streak on the line, the Buccaneers were going into these matches with something to prove and everything to lose.

At 11:30 a.m., the doubles matches kicked off the competition. The first duo was Oscar Martinez and Martin Vergara, whose match went unfinished. The second duo to play was Arenui Luethi and Peter Kalocsai, who won their match in a single set. The third duo to play was James Sim and Juan Listo, and they were also able to win their match in one set. With a 2-0 score in doubles, ETSU was able to take that point and push into the lead.

The singles matches were up next, and the Buccaneers brought their A-game and completely shut the Terriers out. All six players won their matches, and five out of six won in just two sets. With these matches concluded, ETSU won 7-0, completely blanking the Wofford Terriers.
