On Oct. 12, the line wrapped around the building as people waited to get into the new Dave & Buster’s location at the Pinnacle in Bristol during its grand opening event.

The first 100 people through the doors received a free day of unlimited gameplay at the restaurant and entertainment venue.

“We try to be the all-in-one fun stop. So you can come here, have dinner with your family, play some of the cool new video games, watch football or whatever sporting event is going on. We just try to be a fun place that people can come and let loose and enjoy themselves,” said David Woodard, the location’s sales manager.

In addition to a full bar, food and the video wall with sports events, they have more than 100 games available, ensuring there will be something for everyone. One of their most popular games has been the human crane, where, as a twist on the classic claw machine, you become the claw as you try to grab the items.

They also have several themed game options, including a Stranger Things game and a zombie escape room game. They also have classics, such as Mario Kart and some more traditional carnival games to win tickets for prizes.

People are also able to schedule and host private events, such as birthdays, holiday parties, award ceremonies and more. Their private rooms include TVs in case a group is planning to give presentations or something else that requires them for their event.

During the grand opening as well as beyond it, Dave & Buster’s has made an effort to partner with the community. Before their ribbon-cutting ceremony, Tennessee High School sent out their drum line and cheerleaders to hype up the attendees. Multiple local government officials showed up to support their opening, as well as local businesses and representatives from the Pinnacle and the Chamber of Commerce.

Dave & Buster’s is already working with multiple schools in the area to encourage students in their pursuit of education by offering certificates of achievement to receive a free card for some games.

They’ve already provided over 150 jobs at the location and Woodard says they are still currently hiring.

“If we find someone that we feel like is a great fit, we’ll still hire because good people are hard to find. So if anyone’s interested in working here, I’d encourage them to go on daveandbusters.com or just come out and see us and fill out an application,” said Woodard.
