Johnson City has an exciting addition to its brunch palate with the opening of The Toasted Yolk Cafe. The cafe offers classic breakfast, intriguing brunch, decadent lunch and specialty drinks and spirits for all to enjoy.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe recently opened its first location in Johnson City but has been opening locations since 2010. Founders Chris Milton and Matthew DeMott wanted to create a unique breakfast and lunch experience, better than any regular breakfast restaurant. Using scratch recipes and enticing takes on classic meals, The Toasted Yolk Cafe brings many exciting tastes to Johnson City.

Featured items include shareable fried banana peppers or churro-style donuts. If you’re craving some heat with your sweet, they have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles to cater to your appetite. The Brisket Tacos, Breakfast Burrito and the signature Toasted Yolk breakfast featuring two slices of sourdough with eggs grilled in the middle are some of what they call “Yolk Favorites.” The cafe serves various styles of omelets and classic breakfast items, as well as more sweet items for breakfast, such as waffles and French toast.

The cafe offers a variety of spirited coffees, including options like spiked cold brew and Irish coffee made with Irish cream. In addition to these, there’s a selection of regular coffee, lattes, espressos and many other caffeinated beverages. Uniquely, the cafe also provides energy and immunity drinks like an immunity boost made with elderberry and the dragon fruit stardust energizer. No brunch menu would be complete without a wide range of mimosas, sangrias and Bloody Marys, along with a few exclusive drinks that are special to The Toasted Yolk.

Other amenities at the restaurant include a full bar, online ordering, no-contact delivery and a fully open dining room.

The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is located at 2519 Knob Creek Road in Johnson City.
