“The USA Patriot Act: ‘New Tools to Fight a Present Danger’ or an Assault on Civil Liberties?” is the focus of a panel discussion to be held at ETSU on Tuesday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in 102 Rogers-Stout Hall.
The interdisciplinary panel includes ETSU faculty Dr. Paul Sims, associate professor, yechnology; Dr. Stephen Fritz, professor, history; Dr. Sam McKinstry, associate professor, political science; Dr. Leslie MacAvoy, assistant professor, philosophy and humanities; Dr. Steven Dennis, director, Center for Banking/professor, economics, finance and urban studies; and Marie Jones, assistant professor, Sherrod Library; along with local attorney Tom Jessee. Dr. Elwood Watson, associate professor, history, is the moderator.
This free event is open to all ETSU students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the general public.
