“Mark the date, and don’t be late, for Dr. Seuss’s birthday is sure to be great!”
ETSU will host a celebration of the 100th birthday of Dr. Seuss this Saturday (March 13) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3030 Franklin Terrace Dr. Children of all ages are invited to share in the fun.
During this celebration, ETSU students will read their favorite Dr. Seuss stories.
“But listening to stories isn’t all that’s in store. There’ll be puzzles, games and balloons . . . but wait! There’s more!
“We cannot, will not have a 100th birthday without cake, so everyone will get a slice of Dr. Seuss’s birthday cake!”
This free public event is sponsored by America Reads Challenge and First Book-ETSU in cooperation with Barnes & Noble.
First Book is a national, non-profit organization that provides low-income children with their first new books, and the ETSU Campus Advisory Board is part of a national network of community volunteers supporting First Book’s mission.
