Sandie Knight has been named the SoCon Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for all matches through Feb. 15.
Knight, a junior from Adamstown, Australia, led the Buccanners to a 5-2 record to start the 2005 season.
Knight is 5-1 in singles and is currently on a four-match winning streak, winning all four matches in straight sets. Playing at the number two and four positions, Knight’s 6-4, 6-4 win over Jessica Long of Virginia Tech clinched the Bucs’ 4-3 win on February 6.
She was co-champion of her singles bracket at the ETSU Fall Collegiate Classic in the Fall of 2004.
ETSU will be back on the courts February 25 as it hosts Elon.
