Dear Editor,
I think that the smoking ban is a push in the right direction. I am all for the rights of the individual, but ETSU has already designated smoking areas and smokers choose not to acknowledge these boundaries. Not all, but some are very inconsiderate of the non-smokers. I cannot stand walking into a building having to dodge smoke from 10 or more people.
I believe only smoking in the car is a fair compromise. If you must, that will at least get you away from the people who do not like secondhand smoke; which I may point out is the majority of this institution.
