“Salute to the Blue,” the 2008 Tri-Cities Jazz Fest, will honor the United States Air Force Band Program through performances by numerous noted alumni of the program and special guests with the East Tennessee State University Jazz Ensemble.
The concert, sponsored by the ETSU Department of Music, will be held Friday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. at The Millennium Centre. General admission is $10, and $20 VIP tickets include reserved seating and an artists’ reception.
Featured performers are Vaughn Nark, trumpet; Pete BarenBregge, saxophone; Lisanne Lyons, vocalist; Jon Yates, trumpet; Panorama, a group of Airmen of Note alumni; Lee Dise and Jimmy Self, trombone; and Ray and Sonja Crenshaw, horn.
