ETSU is hosting a virtual Five Night Music and Comedy Festival that will take place every Wednesday at 9 p.m. from Oct. 7 to Nov. 4.

The musical acts will include EDM DJ trio Cheat Codes on Oct. 7, rapper Rico Nasty on Oct. 14 and indie pop band The Aces on Oct. 21.

Jonathan Van Ness from “Queer Eye” will be doing a health and wellness talk on Oct. 28, and Chloe Fineman from “Saturday Night Live” will be doing a comedy act on Nov. 4.

“Chloe Fineman just happens to be the same ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedian that we had last spring, so she’s comedy, straight comedy,” said Carter Warden, director of student activities and organizations. “I’m sure she’ll do some impersonations and things like that, like she does on ‘SNL.'”

Question and answer sections will be included every night, and students will receive an email from Student Activities with a document that will ask them to submit questions prior to the events.

Only ETSU students, faculty and staff will have access to the free event.

“This is kind of a package deal that we did with 13 other universities across the nation,” said Warden. “So, in other words, these people are performing one time on this particular night live, and this is live, it is not going to be prerecorded.”

This event was done in partnership with Buctainment and their campus partners: ETSU Campus Recreation, the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center, Military Affiliated Students and the Office of Veterans Affairs at ETSU, Preview and Orientation Leader Organization, Residence Hall Association and the Student Government Association.
