On Jan. 21, Buctainment hosted ’22 year/semester Vision Board for attendees to create inspirational collages of what they want their year to look like.

Madison Ross, the staff programmer for Buctainment, was in charge at the event.

Ross said, “My purpose and idea behind this event was to allow students to start thinking about their goals and motivations in a creative way as they come into the new semester and year.”

Ross said she wanted this event “[to] serve as a motivator and a hands on tool in envisioning who they want to become in the coming year regardless of what may come along.”

For students, a vision board can serve as a great reminder and motivator of holding true to themselves- keeping themselves in line and aware of the future. This event was able to pull students together and empower them through their creativity to help them get on track for the 2022 year.

“I believe the students enjoyed this event, given their artistic freedom to put their goals onto paper through colors and clippings rather than a pen and bleak notebook,” said Ross.

Everyone who attended this event would agree that it was a fun and inclusive way for everyone to come together and better themselves, either educationally or personally.

Ross said, “This event showed me they were enjoying getting creative and having expression in goal setting, which is not as colorful and exciting if you do not have scissors and glue. It was reassuring to see the students smile and engage with others in their goals and interests. They seemed to really enjoy themselves.”

Students: If you’re interested in attending an event like this one, there will be more to come in the future. Stay on the lookout for any new information posted either around campus or on the Buctainment Instagram, and you too will be able to attend a fun campus activity.
