Get your lightsticks ready, greater Johnson City community! A massive celebration of Korean music is headed our way, and it’s promising to be unlike anything the local arts scene has hosted before. On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Martin Center for the Arts will transform into a high-octane arena for artists Forever K-Pop in “A Celebration Concert”.
For students and K-pop fans in the Tri-Cities, this isn’t just a small tribute show. According to the ETSU website, the concert is described as a “next-level, fan-forward K-Pop celebration concert that fuses cinematic spectacle with arena-style production.” If you’ve ever watched a BTS or BlackPink world tour on YouTube and wished you could experience that level of energy without driving eight hours to a major city, this might be your best chance! The concert’s purpose seems to be to act as a bridge between the world of cinema and live performance. According to the Forever K-Pop website itself, the show is “inspired by the smash-hit film K-Pop Demon Hunters” and will explode onto the stage as a “full-scale live concert featuring electrifying singers and dancers who bring the K-pop phenomenon to life.”
While the original artists themselves won’t be in attendance, the production is designed to recreate the specific magic of the genre’s biggest stars. The ETSU website notes that the show will feature “live performances of smash hit songs made famous by BTS, BlackPink, KATSEYE” that will be delivered by “electrifying singers and dancers who bring the K-Pop Fan Experience to the next level.” The vibe for the night is expected to be high-energy and interactive. The Forever K-Pop website promises a night of “High energy choreography, powerhouse vocals, and nonstop party vibes”, adding that the show “isn’t just a concert, it’s a full-throttle celebration of music, movement, and the unstoppable creativity of K-pop!”
Whether you are a hardcore superfan or just someone curious about the global phenomenon, the Martin Center provides an intimate yet professional setting for this kind of “cinematic spectacle.” For students looking to attend, tickets are currently listed on the ETSU website ranging from $45.00- $99.50 with a special “Forever K-Pop Superfan VIP Package” also available for those who want the ultimate experience.
The show kicks off at 7:00 pm! Make sure to grab your tickets soon at etsu.edu or foreverkpoplive.com, because if the global popularity of these songs is any indication, the Martin Center is going to be packed with fans ready to see “where the fantasy meets the fandom!” For more information concerning this event or future events like this at the Martin Center, feel free to contact Jennifer Clements, Executive Director of the Martin Center and University Events at clementsj@etsu.edu!
