Volunteers at ETSU are working to reduce the threat of cancer through the American Cancer Society’s signature event, Relay For Life.
As a member of the ETSU community, you can join these volunteers and help conquer cancer.
“Relay For Life is a really fun overnight event filled with activities, food and community spirit,” said Lacie Tullock, chairman of ETSU’s Relay For Life.
“We are looking forward to showing everyone how much the ETSU community cares, and how committed we are to fighting cancer, celebrating survivors and honoring those who have lost the battle.”
All funds raised at Relay For Life benefit those touched by cancer.
The American Cancer Society works to reduce cancer incidence and mortality through research, education, advocacy and patient services.
ETSU students, faculty, staff and supporters will participate in the fight against this disease as they gather on March 28 at the Intramural Field on campus for Relay For Life.
The 8.9 million cancer survivors alive today, along with their families and friends, are thankful for volunteers who help contribute to the fight.
This year in the United States an estimated 1.2 million people will be diagnosed with cancer. Additionally, the disease will kill approximately 552,000 Americans – 1500 people a day – this year.
