ETSU students have been urged to study hard so that they can be successful in life. Speaking during the ETSU 2005 Multicultural Expo, Vice President Assistant Mary Jordan challenged students to show excellence in their studies. She called upon all the new and old students to work hard so that they can be outstanding in life and in their respective careers.
Jordan who was speaking on behalf of ETSU President, Dr. Paul Stanton welcomed all the new students who have joined ETSU and noted that good education is the key to a brilliant future.
Also gracing the occasion were various faculty and staff members who showcased and talked about different departments that exist at ETSU.
Both new and old students were encouraged to join various student organizations on campus so that they can improve their lives by interacting and sharing ideas with fellow students.
Faculty, staff and various student leaders also urged new students to make ETSU a second home as it is diverse and has all the proper channels through which anyone can air their views or problems.
During the affair, students also showcased different kinds of fraternities and sororities that were on campus which students could join.
In addition to that, the event featured various students’ performances by the ETSU Gospel Choir, Silent Bucs, Bluegrass among many others.
The colorful event was organized by the Office of Multicultural Affairs under the leadership of Laura Terry.
