Attention all males. I hate to scare you, but girls have an element of risk in them.
I am serious.
If you sit and ponder for a second, I am sure you will begin to recognize the crazy and hazardous peril of female fashion.
Three words sum up women in the 21st century: expect the unexpected. How many times can the male population say they have stepped out of their “comfort zone” to initiate a fashion trend?
It can be a chancy game to play. Plus, do men buy magazines that devote three-fourths of its pages to style?
Don’t fret boys; because I speak for all women when I say, “We are not perfect.” (Not when it comes to fashion at least.)
There are many times that girls can look back on their previous taste and exclaim, “What was I thinking?!?”
A great example is those wonderful side ponytails we used to wear. Honestly, they don’t even look good on children!
I am not going to go into the details of all mistakes made by the fashion worthy. I do want to point out a health risk made here on our very own campus.
Be watchful and I am sure you will see the potential ankle breakers, better known as high-heels.
Although I am sure males could care less, high-heels are extremely cute when worn the right way and in the right location.
Going to dinner, church or even a club is a great time to wear them. Just NOT on campus.
There are exceptions to this statement. If a girl has one class or a meeting, she has every right to wear them.
It is when she has three or four classes I start to worry. The horrid blisters, the sore feet, and the possibility of falling should be enough to steer any female away from heels on campus.
Unfortunately, there are still those few. Please, girls, take this article and learn. Heels plus campus do not mix.
Guys, I do have to give you credit for making sure you wear comfortable clothing.
If those high-heelers took a few cues from you, there would be no need for this article.
In the weeks to come, I am hoping to give my personal insight about fashion faux pas made on the ETSU campus. Boys, you are included, too. Trust me, you make plenty of mistakes.
So, to all ETSU students; if you witness a fashion faux pas, write me at zmct9@imail.etsu.edu.
Together, we can make this campus fashion crime free.
