Dear Editor,
This letter is in response to all the Ludacris protestors; most notably Eddie Jenkins, who had an article in the Sept. 26 edition of the East Tennessean.
First of all I would like to say grow up – there are far worse things in the world to worry about than Ludacris coming to town.
Furthermore, if you did not vote then you gave up your right to complain. Personally I did not respond to that e-mail either, but then again I voted against the fee increase in the first place.
Jenkins said the e-mail was sent out on May 2; the last week of school when everyone is too busy with finals and have no reason to check their z-accounts. But, I’m sure they made time to check their Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail accounts.
Then he goes on to regurgitate something as ridiculous as, “When it comes to money people care a great deal where their money is going.” Well tell me this Eddie, how many students would just be spending that $20 at Poor Richards, The Planet, Bottoms Up or Fuzzy Holes?
Then he goes on to spit out a little more garbage about Ludacris being 17th on the list of 22, but if my memory serves me correctly, I remember reading that Ludacris was the FIRST artist willing to come and perform. So, what does that say about the first 16 artists? We should embrace the fact that he is willing to make the trip.
You paid for the concert anyway, why not at least attend it, or are you afraid that you may actually enjoy it? After all, it is hard to get into any major event for less than $35.
Maybe you, Bill O’Reilly and the rest of the Metallica fan club can sit together, and talk about how miserable of a time you are all having.
