ETSU held a Unity Fest yesterday to celebrate cultural diversity. The event, held in Borchuck Plaza, was sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Black Affairs Association, and SGA Buc Fund.
Senior John Suits was happy to see the festival on campus. “This is something this university needs. Diversity is the cornerstone for any University.”
There where several booths located all around the plaza. DJ Express provided music for students to enjoy while exploring each booth and some students even began to dance. The students could enjoy free food while listening to music. The free food line served a variety of dishes from different cultures.
“The food was glorious,” says sophomore Joseph Boyd.
There were an array of booths ranging from origami to a booth for adding spin art to Frisbees. Balloon darts, a mechanical bull and laser tag all were activities that students could enjoy.
“This Unity Feast is sweet.,” junior Hunter Moore said.
Henna tattoos where available as well as airbrush tattoos. Students also enjoyed cotton candies and caramel apples.
“Too bad it had to rain we could have had a lot more fun,” said junior Travis Potter.
