STATESBORO, Ga. — Wayne Bernard scored 20 points and Davidson knocked down 14 three-pointers on its way to defeating Georgia Southern 85-76 on Tuesday night at Hanner Fieldhouse.
After Georgia Southern (13-11, 6-7) scored the first six points of the contest, Davidson (15-8, 9-4) rattled off a 14-2 run to grab a six-point lead on a Brendan Winters basket with 14:11 to go in the period.
Williams finished with a career-best 22 points on 7-12 shooting, while Jean Francois added 18 points. Davidson held Julius Jenkins, the Southern Conference’s leading scorer, to nine points.
Brendan Winters added 18 points for Davidson, while Grace chipped in 14. The Wildcats shot 50.8 percent from the floor on the evening, and outrebounded GSU 46-30.

LEXINGTON, Va. — Jason Rogan scored 19 points and Tim Parker added 18 points including four 3-pointers as the Mocs defeated the Keydets.
The Mocs led throughout the game with the exception of a brief 19-18 deficit when VMI’s Zohn Burden nailed a 3-pointer with 7:04 left in the first half. Parker drained a trey just 15 seconds later to put the Mocs up for good for the remainder of the contest.
Ashley Champion added 10 points for Chattanooga while Nick Benson grabbed eight rebounds.
VMI’s lone double figures scorer was Radee Skipworth, who paced the Keydets with 16 points.
Chattanooga, which had not played since Feb. 10, canned 26-of-30 free throws for a season-high 86.7 percent. The Mocs also hit 7-of-18 from 3-point range, and held a 39-31 advantage on the boards.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Shawn Hall topped four Mountaineers in double figures with 14 points as the North Division leading Mountaineers held off the Terries.
Appalachian State (17-7, 10-3) used a 12-2 run to take their largest lead of the game at 66-57 on a 3-pointer by P.J. Bullock.
The Terriers (11-12, 7-6) then scored the next 10 points to grab a 67-66 lead with 4:37 left. David Eaton and Mike Lenzly had consecutive treys to begin the spurt.
Lenzly topped Wofford with 20 points while Adrien Borders equaled a season-high with 14.
