Dear Editor,
I proudly pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Thank God for Silaja Cheruvu.
You are a walking example of how great this country is. You have the right to criticize our society and government, and the Republican Guard will not take you away. As a reservist I am willing to die for your right to insult my country.
That is why I pledge allegiance to a country who freed slaves with the blood of thousands of men, who saved a continent from a Nazi regime and who today continues to liberate people from oppressive regimes in Afghan-istan.
The other great aspect of this country is you can always leave. If Iraq sounds better you won’t need to worry about skipping the class you are taking for the second time, because you won’t have the opportunity for education.
If you are worried about equality, just ask the Kurds who live in Iraq about equality. They were equally slaughtered by a murderous dictator.
