Volleyball gains second win of season
Clemson won its sixth straight match against the Bucs on Friday. On Saturday, ETSU lost to Illinois-Chicago but recovered in the afternoon with a 3-2 victory over Charleston Southern. Freshman Kelsey Sherich lead the squad with 12 kills on Friday, 16 kills against Illinois-Chicago and 19 kills against Charleston Southern. She was named to the all tournament team. Sophmore Kristi Robinson was two assists shy of a school record with 70 assists against Charleston Southern. Women’s tennis finish strong at ETSU
Sylwia Ziolkowska, Jessica Irey and Jewel Aldea won in singles
competition. Ziolkowska and Aimee Villavicencio; and Mariya Ilyina and Courtney McInnis won the doubles championship games. Next week the Lady bucs will travel to Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Tournament.

Posada eliminated in third round
ETSU tennis players Oscar Posada and Alejandro Salazar was defeated in the second doubles round Saturday by Bo Hodge and John Isner from Georgia, 9-7. Posada was defeated in singles on day three of the Southern Intercollegiate Championship by Sean Kelleher of William and Mary. Posada lost 5-7, 6-1, 1-0.

Women’s golf finish fifth
Women’s golf finished fifth overall in the three-day Minnesota Invitational. Laura Diaz tied for 14th with 26-over (80-81-81-242). Ashley Barton tied for 21st with 28-over (81-81-82-244). Robin Downes finished 29-over, tied for 24th (79-81-85-245).
