What reason do we have to vote for Bush?
Bush keeps touting his tax cuts, but he insists that the richest 2 percent of Americans should keep their tax cuts even while homeland defense is underfunded and we have the largest deficits in history.
Bush has consistently made statements suggesting that he would rather tell our allies to “take it or leave it” when it comes to our plans in foreign policy, with minimal compromising in order to solidify their support.
Bush also insists that the primary reason why we should re-elect him is because Kerry would be worse than he would be.
That isn’t saying very much about what Bush has done and what he has planned for a second term.
What about Sen. Kerry?
Unlike Bush, Kerry has outlined detailed plans to deal with every major foreign and domestic issue facing the United States.
Kerry is one of the most respected members of the Senate, and that should say something about whether he keeps his word and whether he would be a good leader.
Kerry has shown in the debates that he has a better grasp of the issues, and that the flip-flop claims against him are categorically false.
Kerry believes that the United States can and should compromise with other nations in order to come up with the most agreeable plan to deal with a problem in the world.
However, that doesn’t mean that he would allow other nations to determine what is in our own interest internationally.
